Scholarship Benefits

The Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung Foundation will allocate the following prizes:

• Monthly scholarship of 2,670 EUR.
• Funds to cover accommodation and stay while carrying out research in another European country, if necessary.
• Travel expenses if not assumed by third parties.
• Mobility allowance for participation in necessary conferences, and research trips, among others. Humboldt highlights that this could be in Germany or in other parts of the globe.
• Subsidy on medical insurance and civil liability insurance.
• Allowance for accompanying family members who remain in German territory for at least three (3) months.
• Single parents will also have access to an allowance for their accompanying children under 18 years of age.
• Intensive language course. Accompanying spouses of scholarship recipients may also apply to this program.

Conditions that participants must meet:

• International student who reflects academic excellence, in addition to demonstrating that he/she completed a course in Ph.D, C.Sc or equivalent. Do not exceed four (4) years of validity of the title before submitting your application.
• Have knowledge of the English language, spoken and written. If you speak German it is a plus on your cover sheet.
• Not having visited Germany within a period of 18 months before applying. If you do not meet this requirement, you will not be eligible for the scholarship.
• Submit a formal online registration for the Humboldt Research Scholarship in Germany for Latinos through the official site of the Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung Foundation.
